Derek joined TIS in 2008 as a Project Estimator and since 2017 has been the Vice-President of Estimating, Derek has over 15 years experience in project management, construction, and development.  Derek has a B.S. degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Cal Poly Pomona. He is innovating new approaches in estimating allowing clients to get a better picture of their project within the estimating process.

In his construction career, Derek has been a Project Manager specializing in high-value residential and commercial projects, amounting over $50MM in Beverly Hills, CA and Aspen, CO.

In addition to his work at TIS Construction, Derek held the position of Director of Capital Projects for the Wonderful Company where he oversaw all construction in Los Angeles, executing projects from initial conception to project completion. This included land acquisition, contractor and design team contracts, and project execution..
